👨🏫 Meet Rafael Castillo — Founder & Lead Instructor
I’m Rafael Castillo, founder and owner of Spanish School Nicaragua. Born and raised in Estelí, Nicaragua, I live here with my wife Carla, son Carlos, and daughter Olivia.
With 28 years of teaching experience and a Master’s Degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language, I have taught thousands of students from all over the world—ranging from complete beginners to advanced speakers. My students include missionaries, university students, professionals, retirees, and volunteers who have come to Nicaragua for study or service. Many have become lifelong friends, and I maintain close contact with them through social media and personal communication.
If you don’t speak any Spanish yet, don’t worry—I lived in the U.S. for several years and speak fluent English, so communication is easy, and your lessons will be tailored to your individual level and goals.
