Please read the following Terms and Agreements before booking. These Terms and Agreements are subject to change without notice.
1. General Information/ Spanish courses
Spanish School Nicaragua is a Spanish language school located in Estelí Nicaragua founded in 2009, which was formerly named Spanish School Los Pipitos. We are a team of Spanish teachers with many years teaching Spanish as a second language.
1.1 A regular Spanish class lasts 4 hours per day, including a 15-minute break. Spanish lessons are based on the written placement test and/or the oral interview which usually takes place on the first day of class. The student is responsible for sending Spanish School Nicaragua their completed Placement Test at least one week prior to the first class.
1.2 There is no rescheduling for classes once it have started.
1.3 Spanish School Nicaragua considers that our Spanish students can learn more working one on one. Private classes require at least 24 business hours to schedule or reschedule.
1.4 When there is a high volume of students, Spanish School Nicaragua reserves the right to introduce classes in the afternoon.
1.5 If a student arrives late, the class time missed is not refundable nor can it be rescheduled. Spanish School Nicaragua pays to the Spanish teachers from 8:00 until 12:00.

2. Public Holidays
Spanish School Nicaragua works on public holidays. We consider that if you pay us for classes you will have classes, but Spanish School Nicaragua can organize special tours or activities during holidays. Spanish school Nicaragua does not work on weekends.Private classes will be rescheduled based on our availability.
3. Accommodation
3.1 The minimum length for an accommodation (homestay) booking is one week (6 nights, Sunday through Saturday). Additional weeks can be booked, and additional days which amount to less than one week will be pro-rated at about 1/7th the weekly rate.
3.2 To be fair to our homestay families who plan their availability, purchase food, and schedule tasks around their anticipated homestay students, there is no refund if a student spends less time in the homestay than was arranged for. This includes arriving late, leaving early, or any days spent away from the home during the homestay period.
3.3 Any extensions or changes to the homestay must be arranged by contacting the school’s Director.
3.4 Please be aware that many Nicaraguan host families prefer that smoking or alcohol consumption not occur in their homes. If you need specific allowances in these areas please advise the school prior to making a homestay booking. Enquire about any other specific house rules with your hosts when you arrive.
3.5 Illegal or dangerous activities, the use of illegal drugs, or the abuse of alcohol while on the homestay premises will result in the termination of the homestay and no refund will be given.
3.6 If a student is unhappy with their host family for any reason, please inform the Director as soon as possible. Another family will be arranged, depending on availability.
4. Prices
4.1 We reserve the right to adjust our prices at any time. Of course this will be done in good faith and with the goal of not affecting reservations which have already been arranged. However, in the case where a price increase occurs and full payment for a student’s classes has not yet been made, the decision to honor previous pricing will be at the sole discretion of the school’s Director.
4.2 Families or couples who wish to study with Spanish School Nicaragua for more than five weeks may qualify for discounted pricing. Please ask if this pertains to you.
5. Payment
5.1 Full payment must be made before the first day of class or the check-in day for accommodations. Spanish School Nicaragua reserves the right to refuse a student from starting class or moving into their accommodation until full payment has been received.
5.2 To make a reservation with a deposit, or to pay for services in full, money can be sent via Western Union, Money Gram, or XOOM.com, a subsidiary of PayPal. (Paypal itself cannot be used in Nicaragua.)
5.3 Under normal circumstances, a 20% deposit is due in order to complete reservations. Spanish School Nicaragua is a reputable business with employees and other expenses to pay. When we take a reservation and hold teaching time slots or homestay accommodations for a prospective student, these services consequently become unavailable to other potential students, and the School will have lost an opportunity to provide these services to others if the original reservation is cancelled. We appreciate your cooperation in our efforts to serve all of our potential
students.
5.4 All paid Spanish course programs, accommodations, and/or any item booked through Spanish School Nicaragua are non-transferable.
6. Airport Transfer Service
6.1 In order to book private vehicle Airport Transfer service to Estelí with Spanish School Nicaragua, full payment for this service must be made at least one week prior to arrival. Please understand that we cannot dispatch a driver to the airport unless we are sure his costs will be covered.
6.2 The arriving student is responsible for providing Spanish School Nicaragua with the correct arrival flight information (including arrival airport, airline name, flight number, arrival date and time) at least 5 business days before the arrival day.
7. Cancellation and Refund Policy
7.1 If a student needs to cancel classes, accommodations, airport transfer, or any other item booked and/or paid for through Spanish School Nicaragua, and he or she is able to inform us and with a reasonable amount of advance notice, we will not charge a cancellation fee. Pre-paid amounts will be refunded in-full or in-part as appropriate to the circumstances. Any monetary system fees incurred by Spanish School Nicaragua in order to transfer the refund will be deducted from the refunded amount. Our goal is to deal with our clients in good faith within the bounds of sounds business practices.
